The Bubblesound uLFO is a highly versatile voltage-controlled low-frequency oscillator that extends far beyond a traditional LFO, offering wide-ranging modulation and audio-rate capabilities. With a frequency range spanning from extremely slow cycles of up to 60 minutes to high-speed oscillation reaching approximately 3.6 kHz, it can function as both a modulation source and an audio-rate oscillator.
The module provides seven simultaneous waveform outputs, including saw, ramp, triangle, pulse, square (sync output), sine, and a unique shaped sine wave. The shaped sine morphs between exponential forms and a clean sine response, offering rich and dynamic modulation possibilities.
The pulse output features continuously variable pulse width control (0100%), adjustable manually or via CV with attenuation, enabling PWM-style movement and complex rhythmic modulation. Two frequency modulation inputs with attenuators allow for linear or exponential FM routing, giving deep control over modulation behavior and timbre.
Additional functionality includes 1V/oct tracking over approximately 45 octaves, making the uLFO capable of acting as a secondary oscillator when needed. A sync input allows external synchronization for rhythmic or phase-locked modulation setups. The module also exhibits intentional amplitude variation at extreme settings, which can be creatively exploited, including pseudo-VCA behavior using the sine modulation input.
