Syd Barrett: Barrett – VINYL LP

Syd’s Pink Floyd mates David Gilmour and Richard Wright produced his second (and final) solo album of new original songs. Recorded at Abbey Road, Barrett” came out on Harvest in 1970-and, like all things Barrett, it was largely ignored, misunderstood and destined to be prized as a cult classic. Alternately effervescent and eerie-and featuring lots of playing by Gilmour and Wright, who tried hard to “clean up” Syd’s ramshackle style-it includes “Gigolo Aunt,” “Baby Lemonade,” “It Is Obvious,” “Effervescing Elephant,” “Wolfpack,” “Wined and Dined” and more. 180-gram vinyl reissue! Harvest/Warner International.”
